Stripe
The payments company with a seat on the x402 steering committee. It takes x402 on Base for US businesses outside New York through a preview API, and steers merchants to its own MPP.

Our view
Stripe helped develop x402 and holds one of three steering-committee seats, yet its docs say machine payments work best with MPP, which it co-authored with Tempo, and its x402 support covers USDC on Base only. A change to that network table would be one of the clearest signals in this market. (The research did not score stewards; these labels are the site’s reading.)
